FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 21, 2000 CONTACT: Lisa Lacher, (515) 271-3119 BLOUIN TO SPEAK AT DRAKE LUNCHEON SEPT. 6 Michael Blouin, president and chief executive officer of The Greater Des Moines Partnership, will be the featured speaker at a luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Younkers Tea Room in downtown Des Moines. The luncheon, which is open to the public, is part of the Let's DU Lunch series sponsored by Drake University's Central Iowa Alumni Chapter and the Greater Des Moines Partnership. The series continues with a luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 4, that will feature two Drake speakers: Athletic Director David Blank and Head Women's Basketball Coach Lisa Stone. Lloyd Ward, chairman and chief executive officer of Maytag Corp., will speak at the third luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 1. All of the luncheons will begin with networking at 11:30 a.m. followed by the speaker from noon to 1 p.m. in the Younkers Tea Room. The cost of each lunch is $15 per person in advance or $18 at the door. Attend all three luncheons for just $36.
