DRAKE MOCK TRIAL TEAM WINS REGIONAL CONTEST
The Drake Law School mock trial team finished first out of a field of 22 teams
at the regional competition held Feb. 8-11 in Lincoln, Neb. The team -- consisting
of Amy Brunner, a second-year student from Des Moines; Brenda Quade, a third-year
student from Urbandale; and Bryan Stodghill, a third-year student from Des Moines
-- successfully defended the regional title they won last year.
They defeated teams from Washington University, University of Missouri-Kansas City,
Creighton University and University of South Dakota.
This victory will send Drake to the national competition March 22-24 in Dallas. The
Drake team is coached by law professor Gregory Sisk. Both the regional and national
competitions are sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. |
