DRAKE
THEATRE TO PRESENT ALL IN THE TIMING
On Thursday,
Feb. 14, Drake University Theatre will open its production of David Ives'
All In The Timing, a hilarious collection of six one-act plays
that explore the idiosyncrasies of language and time.
The plays
range from a couple trying to say all the right things in "Sure Thing"
to an exploration deep into the avant-garde style of composer Philip Glass
in "Philip Glass Buys A Loaf Of Bread.
All in the Timing is at once funny, poignant and thought
provoking, says Director Michael Rothmayer, assistant professor
of theatre arts at Drake. Rothmayer also notes that the plays contain
language that may not be suitable for children.
Performances
will start at 8 p.m. Feb. 14, 15, 16 and 17 in Studio 55 of the Harmon
Fine Arts Center, 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue. Tickets are $4 for
adults; $2 for non-Drake students and senior citizens; and free with a
Drake ID. Reservations are required due to limited seating. For reservations,
call the Drake Fine Arts Box Office at 271-3841.
