FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 22, 2002 CONTACT: Lisa Lacher, (515) 271-3119 PRESENTATION ON LYON, FRANCE, SET FOR TUESDAY Nelle N.Kottman, professor of history at Iowa State University, will present a slide show of Lyon, France, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in room 237 of Meredith Hall at Drake University, 28th Street and Carpenter Avenue. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is titled "Lyon: France's 'Second City' and Undiscovered Treasure." Kottman has been a member of the French section of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at Iowa State University since 1979. As the director of a summer program in Lyon, she has had many opportunities to explore the city of 415,000 in east central France at the confluence of the Rhone and Saone rivers.
