DRAKE OFFERS MANAGERS’ WORKSHOP ON EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Managers who want to learn about emotional intelligence in the workplace are invited to attend a free workshop sponsored by the Drake Business Link on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Dr. Flavia Eldemire will conduct the workshop, which will focus on how emotional intelligence can be measured and enhanced to maximize employee performance.
The workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Parents Hall in Olmsted Center, 29th Street and University Avenue. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Dr. Eldemire holds a Ph.D. in psychology, an MBA in finance and human resources and a master’s degree in counseling and career development. She has directed workshops in organizational development for a variety of businesses and organizations, including Banc One, The Levinson Institute, Bentley College and Boston Public Schools.
The Drake Business Link, directed by Professor of Management Delaney Kirk, was established in 2000 to foster discussions about issues of interest to local business people. In addition to the workshop on emotional intelligence, the Drake Business Link will sponsor a workshop about managing diversity on Friday, April 16.
