DRAKE ADULT LITERACY CENTER PRESENTS AUTHOR STEPHANIE KANE
On Monday, Feb. 14, the Drake University Adult Literacy Center will host a presentation
by Stephanie Kane, author of several novels about a dyslexic lawyer. She will
discuss the complications of everyday life that can be caused by dyslexia and
learning disabilities. The presentation, which is free and open to the public,
will start at 6:30 p.m. in St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Student Center,
1150 28th St.
“Kane’s description of what the character experiences in school
and then on occasion in her professional life are accurate representations of
what many people with learning disabilities encounter in their personal and
professional lives,” said Ted May, director of the Learning Effectiveness
Program at the University of Denver. May added that "Seeds of Doubt,"
Kane's latest book, “continues to provide a wonderful example of what
people with learning disabilities contribute to all facets of life.”
