DRAKE FOREIGN FILM FESTIVAL TO START FEB. 2

Drake University's Sunday Foreign Film Festival during the spring semester will feature 10 foreign films exploring representations of childhood.

Beginning Feb. 2, "Viewing Childhood" will present a new film each Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Pharmacy Auditorium (room 206) in the Morgan E. Cline Hall of Pharmacy and Science, 28th Street and Forest Avenue. Admission is free. Each screening will be followed by a discussion session. The discussions will be led by Drake faculty members Fernando Arribas-Garcia, Vibs Petersen and Susan Hanson.

• Feb. 9: "Central Station" (Brazil, 1998)
• Feb. 16: "Yi Yi / A One and A Two" (Taiwan, 2000)
• Feb. 23: "Butterfly" (Spain, 1999)
• March 2: "Pelle the Conqueror" (Denmark, 1988)
• March 9: "The Bicycle Thief" (Italy, 1948)
• March 30: "The Cup" (India, 1999)
• April 6: "Germany Pale Mother" (Germany, 1980)
• April 13: "The Grave of the Fireflies" (Japan, 1988)
• April 27: "Oriana" (Venezuela, 1991)
