FLUTE CHOIR CAMP TO BE HELD AT DRAKE UNIVERSITY

Drake University's Community School of Music will conduct a Flute Choir Camp July 6 through July 10 for students entering grades 7-9 in the 2004-5 academic year.

"The Flute Choir Camp is a wonderful and challenging opportunity for talented and hard working flutists to grow as musicians and enhance their ensemble skills," said Erika Inge Leake, assistant professor of flute at Drake University. "The Flute Choir experience will include the learning of a wide variety of repertoire written specifically for flute choir as well as discussion of topics related to flute playing."

The camp will be held in room 257 of the Harmon Fine Arts Center, 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue.

Students from outside the Des Moines area will stay in Drake's residence halls. The cost of the camp is $330 for double occupancy or $350 for single occupancy. For students not staying on campus, the cost is $290.

To register, or to obtain more information, contact Erika Inge Leake at (515) 271-2808 or leakyflute@aol.com.
