The reading, which is free and open to the public, will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Honors Lounge of Medbury Hall, 1317 28th St. Weissmiller received an MFA from the University of Iowa Writer's Workshop and has long been a staff member at Prairie Lights Books in Iowa City, Iowa. She also is a fifth-generation native of Carroll County in northwestern Illinois.
