MICHAEL GARTNER TO SPEAK AT APRIL 5 LUNCHEON
Michael Gartner, majority owner and chairman of Iowa Cubs Baseball, will be the featured speaker at a luncheon on Wednesday, April 5, at the Younkers Tea Room in downtown Des Moines. He will discuss the role of minor league sports in Des Moines and the outlook for the I-Cubs this season.
The luncheon, which is open to the public, is part of the Let's DU Lunch series sponsored by Drake University's Central Iowa Alumni Chapter and the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Federation.
The series also includes a luncheon on Wednesday, May 3, that will feature Teresa Wahlert, vice president-Iowa of US West, discussing technology in 2000 and beyond.
