All four will serve three-year

also served for six years as a commissioner for the Iowa Development Commission.
Jacobs, who earned a master's degree from Drake in 1986, worked for the American

elected majority whip in 1999. She is a member of Drake’s Heritage Society and a
life member of the Francis Marion Drake Society.
Bruner, who received his bachelor's degree from Drake in 1960 and his law degree
from Drake in 1963, served on Drake’s advisory board for 17 years before joining
the University’s governing board. He received Drake’s Alumni Distinguished Service
Award in 1986 and is a member of the Drake Heritage Society. He has been named Scottsdale
Citizen of the Year.

years and chaired the board from 1998 through 2000. He belongs to the Drake Heritage
