EXPERT ON EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TO SPEAK AT DRAKE

Diane Trister Dodge, an author and expert on early childhood education, will speak at Drake University on Wednesday, April 9. Her speech, titled "Making the Case for Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum and Assessment," will start at 7 p.m. in Levitt Hall in Old Main, 2507 University Ave.

Dodge is author of "The Creative Curriculum" and founder of Teaching Strategies Inc., a company that produces educational resources for early childhood programs.

The event is sponsored by Drake University Head Start and Drake's School of Education. Admission is free with a reservation. For reservations, call (515) 271-1854.
