DRAKE TO HOST DISCUSSION OF JUDAISM, CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM
On Tuesday, March 15, Drake University will host the second in a series of discussions on respect for and responsibility toward people of other religions. The discussion, which will focus on Judaism, Christianity and Islam, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. in Bulldog Theater in Olmsted Center, 29th Street and University Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.
The speakers will be Rabbi Baruch HaLevi of Tifereth Israel Synagogue, the Rev.
Amy Miracle of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Imam Mohamad Khan of the Muslim Community Organization Mosque.
The series, sponsored by Drake's Department of Philosophy and Religion, will conclude on Monday, April 4, with a discussion of Sikhism, Bahai and Zen Buddhism.
