CO-OWNER OF STICKS INC. TO SPEAK AT DRAKE LUNCH
Sarah Grant-Hutchison, co-owner of Sticks Inc., will speak Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Let's DU Lunch speaker series sponsored by the Drake University Central Iowa Alumni Chapter and the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

Originally an abstract painter and art instructor at Iowa State University, Grant-Hutchison started Sticks, a contemporary wood furniture and art store, in response to a request for a wooden nativity scene from a Meredith Corp. magazine in 1985. Since then, the company has grown rapidly and now sells pieces in 120 galleries throughout the United States.

The fall lunch series will conclude Wednesday, Nov. 6, with a speech by Rick McConnell, president of Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.
