DRAKE ALUMNI, CHAMBER TEAM UP ON LUNCH SERIES

"Let's DU Lunch," a series of provocative discussions on timely topics, will begin Wednesday, Oct. 6, under the sponsorship of Drake University's Central Iowa Alumni Chapter and the Greater Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Federation.

Drake President David Maxwell will kick off the series as its inaugural speaker at the Younkers Tea Room in downtown Des Moines. He will discuss "The Place of Drake in the Community." The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. with informal networking, and the program will begin promptly at noon.

The cost of the lunch is $15 per person. Reservations are due by Friday, Oct. 1. To make a reservation, call the Drake Office of Alumni and Parent Programs at (515) 271-3152.

"Let's DU Lunch" is the first of many special activities during
Inauguration Week at Drake University - Oct. 6-10. The week will culminate in the installation of Dr. Maxwell as Drake's 12th president in a ceremony beginning at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Drake University Knapp Center, 2601 Forest Ave.

The "Let's DU Lunch" series, which sponsors would like to host six times a year, will feature guest speakers of local, regional and national renown. The next "DU Lunch" event will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 3, with Barbara Henry, publisher of
The Des Moines Register, as the featured speaker.
