DRAKE BUSINESS DAYS TO FEATURE SPEECH BY MITCH HOLTHUS: 'VOICE OF THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS'
Mitch Holthus,
who is in his ninth year as the "Voice of the Kansas City Chiefs," will
be the keynote speaker at Drake University's 24th annual Business Days Awards
Convocation on Thursday, April 10. His speech is titled "When 0.0 Equals
4.0."
Holthus hosts the "Minute With Mitch" television series, which is viewed
in five states, and the "Chiefs Gameday" television show. Following
NFL season, Holthus is a play-by-play talent for selected college basketball games.
His talents have been featured on ESPN, FOX and other national outlets. Holthus
is the No. 1 announcer for the Missouri Valley Conference.
For 13 years, Holthus was the play-by-play voice of the Kansas State Wildcats
of the Big 12 Conference. He has been named Kansas Sportscaster of the Year eight
times and currently holds the honor. He also has been named the Top Play-by-Play
Sportscaster in Kansas nine times by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. The
Kansas State University alumnus currently owns his own company, which features
talent and marketing services.
Members of the business community as well as Drake faculty, students, alumni and
friends are invited to the attend the convocation, which will begin at 3:30 p.m.
in Parents Hall at Olmsted Center, 29th Street and University Avenue.
Drake's Business Days on April 9 and 10 are supported by an endowment established
