DRAKE TO HOST PAN AMERICAN PROGRAM
The Pan American
Committee and Drake University's Center for Global Citizenship and Center for
the Humanities will present "Pan American Program 2003: Getting Together
for a Better Tomorrow" at noon Thursday, April 17, in Olmsted Center at Drake
University, 29th Street and University Avenue.
The event will feature a luncheon and a talk by Miguel Teran, Iowa's first director
of the Spanish-Speaking People's Commission, educator and county commissioner
in El Paso, Texas. Teran's presentation is titled "Crisis in the Americas:
What are the Solutions?"
The cost of the event is $12 per person and reservations are required. To make
