DRAKE UNIVERSITY/COMMUNITY CHORUS SEEKS NEW MEMBERS

Singers are invited to join the Drake University/Community Chorus, which will begin rehearsals for the spring semester at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in Monroe Recital Hall on the lower level of the Harmon Fine Arts Center, 25th Street and Carpenter Avenue. Rehearsals will continue throughout the semester on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

"No audition is required to participate in the Drake University/Community Chorus. Just come to the first rehearsal," said Aimee Beckmann-Collier, conductor of the chorus and professor of conducting at Drake.

The University/Community Chorus, along with Drake's other choral ensembles, will perform Haydn's "Creation Mass" (Schöpfungsmesse) with a faculty/student orchestra on May 5 at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.

For further information about the chorus, call Beckmann-Collier at (515) 271-2841.
