DRAKE STUDENTS TO PRESENT CHECK FOR HURRICANE RELIEF MONDAY

A Cajun-style barbecue, kickball tournament, dance marathon and silent auction are among the activities Drake University students organized this fall to raise money to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.

On Monday, Nov. 7, student leaders will present a check for the proceeds of these activities to John Schmacker, chief financial officer of the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Red Cross. The presentation will take place at 3 p.m. on the Pomerantz Stage in the Pomerantz Student Union at Olmsted Center, 29th Street and University Avenue.
