DRAKE AND IPTV SPONSOR SCREENING OF 'THE COST OF FREEDOM: CIVIL LIBERTIES, SECURITY, AND THE USA PATRIOT ACT'

WHAT: Iowa Public Television and the Drake University School of Journalism and Mass Communication have joined with the Iowa Freedom of Information Council, Cowles Library, the American Judicature Society, and the Constitutional Law Resource Center at the Drake Law School to sponsor a preview screening of "The Cost of Freedom: Civil Liberties, Security, and the USA Patriot Act." This new documentary, produced by The Duncan Group, is being presented nationally by Iowa Public Television and examines the history behind and the impact of the USA Patriot Act. Alison Rostankowski, producer of the program, will speak at the screening. The program, broadcast by public television stations across the country this fall, debuts on Iowa Public Television Oct. 5.

WHO: Iowa Public Television and Drake’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication are co-sponsors of the screening. Producer Alison Rostankowski will provide insight into the program’s development following the screening.
