- The Drake Choir will perform a benefit concert for its European Tour on the Jordan Stage in Sheslow Auditorium, 8 p.m., $25 for adults, $5 for students.
- Drake men's basketball vs. Southern Illinois State University, Drake Knapp Center, 7:05 p.m. Free admission with a faculty or staff Drake ID.

- Faculty Recital: Organist Carl Staplin will perform the first in a series of recitals featuring J.S. Bach's masterpieces, First Christian Church, 3 p.m.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7
- African-American History Month: "A Dialogue with Members of National PanHellenic Council," Black Cultural Center, 3303 University Ave., 7 p.m.
- William Straw, a Canadian professor who writes about popular music and film, will discuss the ways record stores are designed to encourage particular consumer choices and what that means about both the business and art of making music, Medbury Honors Lounge, 7:30 p.m.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8
- Drake Honor High School Jazz Day: Iowa's best young jazz talent will perform with Drake Jazz Ensemble I on the Jordan Stage in Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main, 7 p.m., $5 or free with a Drake ID.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9
- Fast Break Luncheon featuring women's basketball coach Lisa Bluder, Christopher's Restaurant, 11:45 a.m., $8.50.

- Drake women's tennis vs. Ball State, Drake Tennis Center, 5 p.m.
- Evening of Swing - Valentine's Dance: Drake Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Andrew Classen, will perform great swing music suitable for dancing and listening in Parents Hall at Olmsted Center, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Beverages and refreshments will be available for purchase.
