SATURDAY, MAY 1
- Walk for Adult Literacy to raise funds for the Drake Adult Literacy Center. The walk begins at the parking lot of the School of Education at 10 a.m.
- All Drake choruses will join the Des Moines Symphony, Simon Estes, the Des Moines Choral Society and the Central College A Capella Choir in performing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony "Ode To Joy" at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines, 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the Civic Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.
SUNDAY, MAY 2

- Charli Carpenter, lecturer in politics and international relations, will discuss children born of wartime rape and show an award-winning documentary titled "War Babies," Meredith Hall, room 235, 6 to 8 p.m.
