John McTaggart, associate professor of mathematics and computer science, is co-author of "Investigating the Mental Representation of Computer Programming Concepts in English as an Additional Language and English as First Language Students" to be presented at the National Advisory Committee on Computing Qualifications annual conference in Christchurch, New Zealand, July 6-9. He and co-
authors Christine Prasad (UNITEC Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand) and Kathryn Sanders (Rhode Island College) are members of the NSF-funded "Bootstrapping Research in Computer Science Education" project.

June Felice Johnson, vice chair and associate professor of pharmacy practice, and a fourth-year pharmacy student, Generosa Jones, provided medication reviews on March 29 for the Polk County Health Department Employee Health Fair.
Jill Caton Johnson, assistant professor of education, is author of an article recently published in the Journal of Content Area Reading. The article is titled "Why Do I Need a Reading Course? Application of Reading Strategies in Math and Science by Preservice Teachers."
Clive Elliott, the Daniel B. Goldberg artist in residence in theatre arts, had an article published in The Soul of the American Actor, a quarterly theatre newspaper in New York. The article is titled "An Infinity of Possibilities."
Lesley Leuwerke, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, and Wade Leuwerke, assistant professor of school counseling, recently led a workshop for Drake pharmacy students titled: "Diversity and Communication in Healthcare."
John M. Hicks, professor emeritus of art since 1993, has an article titled "It's an Attitude" published in the May issue of Art Education, the international journal of the National Art Education Association.
Randall Huff, visiting assistant professor of English, has completed a book, The American Revolution, for the series of reference books titled American Popular Culture Through History published by Greenwood Press.
Jon Ericson, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt professor emeritus of rhetoric, and attorney Matthew R. Salzwedel, AS'98, are co-authors of a recent article in the Wisconsin Law Review. The article is titled "Cleaning Up Buckley: How the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Shields Academic Corruption in College Athletics."
Jane L. Rankin, associate professor of psychology, with co-authors David J. Lane of Western Illinois University and Frederick X. Gibbons and Meg Gerrard of Iowa State University, published an article in the latest issue of the Journal of Research on Adolescence titled "Adolescent Self-Consciousness: Longitudinal Age Changes and Gender Differences in Two Cohorts."
