James Albert, professor of law, has received the Leland S. Forrest Outstanding Professor Award in the Drake Law School.
A. Douglas Hillman, the Aliber distinguished professor of accounting, has received the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in the College of Business and Public Administration.
Garry Frank, professor of public administration, has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award in the College of Business and Public Administration.
Eric Saylor, assistant professor of music history, has received the Outstanding Teacher Award in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Art Sanders, professor of politics and director of the honors program, has been selected to give the Stalnaker Lecture next fall.
Allen Scult, professor of philosophy and rhetoric, has received the Centennial Scholar Award in the College of Arts and Sciences. The award is given in alternate years to faculty members in the liberal arts for distinguished achievements as scholars.
Linda Krypel, associate professor of pharmacy, has been named Teacher of the Year in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Carrie Sarvis, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has been selected as Preceptor of the Year in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Geoff Wall, assistant professor of pharmacy practice, has been named Mentor of the Year in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Don Stratton, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt professor of physiology and professor of biology, has been named Non-Pharmacy Teacher of the Year by students in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
James Adams, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt professor of law, is author of an article titled "Suppressing Evidence Gained by Government Surveillance of Computers" published in the spring 2004 issue of the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Journal.
Tom Worthen, associate professor of art, has presented a series of three talks at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral on the veracity of The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
Lisa Martin-Hansen, assistant professor of education, presented a research paper at a conference of the National Association for Research in Science Teaching in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on April 2. The paper was titled "The Nature of Science and Religion Meet Head-On in a First Year Seminar Course." This research was conducted during the FYS-141 Drake University course offered in the fall of 2002, Evolution: History and Theory.
