  • Stargazing: "The Formation of Earth and the Solar System" presentation by professor Tony Marston and a video titled "The Sun," Drake Municipal Observatory, Waveland Park, 8 p.m.


MONDAY, JUNE 12

  • First four-week term begins.


WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14

  • Ice Cream Social, Olmsted Circle, 2 to 3:30 p.m., 50 cents.
  • Drake Neighborhood Farmers Market, parking lot of First Christian Church, 25th Street and University Avenue, 4 to 7 p.m. Entertainment: The Lap Dogs Band, 4 to 7 p.m.


FRIDAY, JUNE 16

  • New McDonald's opens at 30th Street and Forest Avenue.
  • Stargazing: "Life in the Solar System" presentation by professor Tony Marston and a video titled "Mars ó Past, Present and Future," Drake Municipal Observatory, Waveland Park, 8 p.m.


THURSDAY, JUNE 22

  • Campus picnic near Medbury Hall, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free.
