Law professor Hunter
R. Clark's most recent article, titled "Sustainable Economic Development:
What the World Owes Africa, and What Africa Owes Itself," has appeared in
volume 7 of The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice, a publication of
the University of Iowa College of Law. The article is based on remarks delivered
by professor Clark at the journal's 7th Annual Symposium, American Presence Abroad:
U.S. Foreign Policy and Its Implications for Gender, Race and Justice, The University
of Iowa, Oct. 25, 2002. Another law review article by professor Clark, titled
"The WTO Banana Dispute Settlement and Its Implications for Trade Relations
between the United States and the European Union," has been published in
volume 35 of The Cornell International Law Journal.
Karen Wallace,
Drake Law Library circulation/reference librarian, and Sharon Baker, formerly
of the University of Iowa, presented two sessions titled "Collection Development
in the Responsive Library" at the 2003 Delaware Library Association Annual
Conference. The State Library of Delaware selected the book Wallace and Baker
co-authored, The Responsive Public Library: How to Develop and Market a Winning
Collection, for year two of its continuing education program, "If All
the Delaware Library Community Read the Same Book."
Stuart Shulman,
assistant professor of environmental science and policy, has been invited to present
a paper at the ITR Ed-Tech PI's Workshop July 16-18 in Boulder, Colo. Shulman's
paper is titled "Digital Citizenship: Expanding Information Technology Literacy
with a Service- Learning Approach."
