- Last day to take advantage of the offer of the provost's office to pay for cap and gown rental for New Student Convocation for faculty members earning $50,000 a year or less. Contact Winnie Fowler at x3751.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2
- Deadline for ordering academic regalia for New Student Convocation from the University Bookstore.
- Campus picnic has been canceled.
- Drake Neighborhood Farmers Market, parking lot of First Christian Church, 25th Street and University Avenue, 4 to 7 p.m. Entertainment: Country singer Stephanie Carter, 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Des Moines Isiserettes, 6:30 to 7 p.m.
