The event will be broadcast live on WOI Radio as part of "Evenings at Prairie Lights." The radio program can be heard at www.prairielights.com.
Dolph Pulliam, director of community outreach and development, will serve as honorary chairperson of "Take A Loved One to the Doctor Day" on Sept. 16. This event is part of the Closing the Health Gap campaign launched by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. African Americans and Hispanics in Iowa are dying sooner and suffering preventable illness more frequently than Iowa's white population, according to HHS.
