  • Drake women's basketball vs. KSC Szekszard, a Hungarian national team sponsored by Basketball Travelers (exhibition), Drake Knapp Center, 7:05 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4

  • Drake football vs. Jacksonville, Drake Stadium, 1 p.m.
  • Recital of Women's Music, Jordan Stage, Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main, 8 p.m.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5

  • Last day to view "A Matchless Clarity: Paintings and Studies by Jules Kirschenbaum," Anderson Gallery, noon to 4 p.m.
  • Guest Recital: David Thompson, piano, Jordan Stage in Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main, 8 p.m.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6

  • Service Week 2000 begins and continues through Sunday, Nov. 12. A food drive will be conducted throughout the week. Donations may be dropped off in the residence halls.
  • Drake men's basketball vs. Denmark (exhibition), Drake Knapp Center, 7:05 p.m.
  • Writers and Critics Series: Sandra G. Shannon will give a lecture titled "Critical Movements in African-American Drama," Medbury Honors Lounge, 8 p.m. 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8

  • Guest Recital: Dean Somerville, tuba, Jordan Stage, Sheslow Auditorium in Old Main.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9

  • Writers and Critics Series: O. Henry Award-winner Thomas Glave will read from his new book, "Whose Song? and Other Stories," Medbury Honors Lounge, 7:30 p.m.
  • Play: "Hamlet," Hall of Performing Arts, Harmon Fine Arts Center, 8 p.m., $5 for adults, $2.50 for students and senior citizens. Call x3841.
  • Movie: "The Green Mile," Bulldog Theater, Olmsted Center, 9 p.m., $2.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10

  • Drake Admission Open House, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Drake volleyball vs. Illinois State, Drake Knapp Center, 7 p.m.
  • TalkAbout for Drake's production of "Hamlet" featuring a Danish supper and a talk by director William S. E. Coleman, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Student Center, 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the TalkAbout and the 8 p.m. performance in the Hall of Performing Arts, Harmon Fine Arts Center.   • Movie: "The Green Mile," Bulldog Theater, Olmsted Center, 9 p.m., $2.

  • Service Week 2000 concludes with a campuswide clean-up starting at 2 p.m. at Olmsted Center.
