What if you could finish your undergraduate work and receive your doctorate degree in an accelerated program? With the Pre-Occupational Therapy (Pre-OT) track at Drake, you can. The Pre-OT track is currently recruiting students and will begin in Fall 2016. As a Pre-OT student, you will complete a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences on either a 3-Year or 4-Year track, followed by three years of year-round coursework in the professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) progam. This pre-professional program includes several benefits:
- You will have full consideration for admission to Drake’s professional OTD program as you complete the pre-OT track.
- An Occupational Therapy faculty mentor/adviser and the Office of Academic and Student Affairs are available to provide resources and support during your undergraduate coursework.
- You can pursue membership in professional student organizations, providing the chance to network with fellow students at Drake and from across the state and country.
- You will enroll in an Issues in Health Sciences course series through which you’ll gain job shadowing experiences, career exploration opportunities, innovation and practice management skills, and an understanding of the health care system.
