Drake Parent Advisory Council

At Drake, we welcome and encourage parents to get involved in their students' education and invite you to make the most of your automatic membership in the Drake University Parent Advisory Council.

Parent Advisory Council members and University staff are ready and willing to answer your questions and listen to your ideas about your student’s education. As we look forward to your student joining us on campus, we also look forward to you joining our extended campus community. Welcome!

The Drake University Parent Advisory Council provides a variety of special events for parents, such as the Parents and Family Weekend, the President's Assembly and other activities designed to introduce you to the Drake faculty and administration.

If you are interested in participating in the Drake University Parent Advisory Council, would like to speak to a Parent Advosory Council member or have questions regarding the Parent Advisory Council or becoming a Board member please e-mail Melissa Sturm-Smith, Associate Provost for Academic Excellence and Student Success.
