2008 Spring Break Bus Schedule

Drake University's Office of Alumni and Parent Programs is now making arrangements for a deluxe motor coach to bring students home to the Chicagoland/Milwaukee area for Spring Break.  There are TV/VCRs and a restroom on the bus.  Students may bring their own videos and food.  There is NO SMOKING on the bus.  Luggage is limited to one standard size suitcase and a carry-on (i.e., a small backpack).  No large plastic trash bags or small appliances, i.e. microwaves, will be transported in the cargo compartment.

The round-trip cost is $100.00 per person.  There are no one-way fares.  Seating is limited, so we operate on a “first come, first served” basis.  There are no refunds unless the bus is over-booked or canceled.  You must sign and send the release form, along with your check for $100.00 to Drake University, and a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

You will receive a confirmation or your check will be returned if the bus is full or canceled.  Please make checks payable to DRAKE UNIVERSITY.  Checks and forms should be received by no later than Monday, March 3.


In order to ensure our students’ safety, students will be asked to show their Drake student ID or a driver’s license when boarding the bus.  Please make your student is aware of this procedure.  You must also sign a release form for your student to travel on the bus.  Please click here to access the form in .pdf format.  Please print it out, fill it out, and mail it to the address on the form.  We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation.


The Arrow Stage Line bus will depart from the Drake University campus and will stop at:

Chicagoland Area
DeKALB:  DeKALB OASIS on 1-88, Mobile Station Mini-Mart area
NAPERVILLE:   HOLIDAY INN parking lot located at 1801 Naper Blvd., Naperville
O’HARE AIRPORT KISS’N’FLY LOT (Bessie Coleman Dr., beyond rental car return area)
GURNEE:   MCDONALD’S PARKING LOT (southwest corner of Grand Ave. and Dilley’s Rd.)
KENOSHA:  JENNIFER’S PANCAKE HOUSE/DAYS INN parking lot off I-94 / Hwy 50 exit


Please view the following schedule below to see when students will be dropped off and picked up.  Students must be ready to board the bus 15 minutes before the specified times and locations.  All students are checked in for the departure so it is crucial to contact Betty See if you are not riding the bus before 4:15 pm on the day of departure; the bus must leave promptly at 5:00 pm in order to stay on schedule.  If your student has made alternate travel arrangements after registering for the bus, please contact Betty See at 1-800-44-DRAKE, ext. 2500.
