Amended Bylaws of Drake University

ARTICLE VIII
THE PRESIDENT’S COUNCIL


The President's Council of Drake University shall be composed of no more than twenty individuals who are actively committed to the prosperity, advancement, and visibility of the University. The President's Council shall serve as a consultative body for the President, offering the benefits of collective expertise, experience, and insight in the consideration of issues of importance to the University. The Council shall advise the President and assist the University in such matters as the President may request from time to time, but shall be called by the President to convene no less frequently than once each year.

Members of the Council shall be appointed by the President in consultation with the Executive Committee of the Board, and shall serve for a term of three years with eligibility for reappointment. The Chair of the President's Council shall be the President of the University or, in the absence of the President, the Provost.
