The RaySociety is a lifelong learning organization tailored for those who seek stimulating discussion, cultural understanding, and intellectual exploration.

Associated with Drake University and named after one of Iowa's most beloved Governors and his family, the RaySociety is a lifelong learning program targeted to adults in the Greater Des Moines community and beyond. Members of the RaySociety enjoy a diverse offering of noncredit classes, insightful, behind-the-scenes community tours and engaging campus socials.

Current and Emeriti faculty of Drake University, along with local community and business leaders, contribute their time and expertise to lead RaySociety classes on diverse topics and activities. Courses are multidimensional, and, while primarily set on Drake's campus, often meet off campus in places of interest. The RaySociety is also active in many community events as well as those featured by Drake University, such as the insightful Bucksbaum Lecture Series.

The RaySociety integrates the interests of many to provide a fun, social atmosphere rooted in ongoing learning.
