The RaySociety is a membership organization, open to all persons interested in lifelong learning. Prior college experience is not required, and courses taken within the organization are not for college credit. RaySociety membership is required prior to course registration. Membership includes library privileges at Drake University's Cowles Library and a calendar of events that may be of particular interest to RaySociety members.

Regular Membership

An annual RaySociety membership extends from July 1 through June 30. A fall and spring catalog will be issued to all members.

2-year membership             $95
3-year membership             $140

Benefits of membership include: a Drake University parking permit (see Parking Permits section), access to Cowles Library, entry into free RaySociety events and socials, and special one-time classes. 

Lifetime Membership

A lifetime membership is also available for a fee of $2,500. Benefits of a Lifetime Membership include the above plus: no renewal fees, no standard ($30) class registration fees, 75% tax deductible, option to pay in three installments.  Monies collected from Lifetime Memberships help to keep the RaySociety operating in well equipped classrooms with appealing and topical speakers and programs.

The Comparison Project will present the third event in its 2016–2017 series on death and dying. A community interfaith dialogue on Oct. 27 will feature representatives of three different refugee religions in Des Moines.
