At its core, the Disability and Rehabilitation Services major focuses on supporting individuals in achieving their personal, educational, and career goals. You gain practical experience in our program that prepares you to work directly with people and collaborate across community, policy, healthcare, education, and human services settings. The curriculum focuses on five core areas: Advocacy, Employment, Disability, Business, and Working with People. Students can also customize their degree with specific areas of emphasis.

The interdisciplinary nature of this major prepares students to advance their career in a number of different roles—from becoming a case manager or employment specialist, to working in community outreach or in corporate HR. It also provides a strong foundation for pursuit of graduate degrees in varying counseling fields.
