Experiential Learning & Engaged Citizen Showcase

The Experiential Learning & Engaged Citizen Showcase is an opportunity to celebrate and highlight student experiences involving an experieintial learning component. Faculty, staff, student, and community partners who are involved in experiential learning, service-learning and engaged citizen experience are requested to attend. This is a great opportunity for students to present and discuss their experiences and receive recognition for their work.

If you have incorporated experiential learning into your classes this year, please encourage your students to present.  Unsure if you offered an experiential learning activity in your class?  A key element of all experiential learning is that there is structured reflection on the experience.  Also in order for an experience to satisfy this requirement it will meet the following three learning outcomes:

Students will be able to:

  • Reflect on the impact that engagement outside the classroom has on their understanding of liberal education, or on an academic discipline, or on important societal or personal values.
  • Integrate academic knowledge with their experiential learning.
  • Demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge to new situations.
