Downtown Street Painting

Downtown Street Painting has been rescheduled to May 4, 1-4 p.m.

DSPStreet painting on the Drake campus has long served as the unofficial kickoff to festivities surrounding the Drake Relays. To celebrate and expand upon this tradition, Drake is partnering yet again with the City of Des Moines and Court Avenue District to bring this festive event to the downtown area.  Downtown Street Painting allows business, nonprofit and community organizations to celebrate the Drake Relays and participate in this historic tradition.

Participation in the Downtown Street Painting event allows you to promote your organization and share your connections with Drake and Des Moines. Your square will remain painted and will be viewed by the thousands who enjoy the activities that take place on Court Avenue throughout the year.
