Halloween Hoops

Now in it's 22nd year, Halloween Hoops is an event open to all Des Moines area children ages 3-11. Come for Halloween Fun, Games, Prizes, and Pizza. Coloring Books, Crayons, toothbrushes, bulldog hats, candy and bags will be handed out. Kids are encouraged to wear a costume or something orange, but it is not required. If you wish, BRING a basketball or a mini-basketball (or Nerfball). Drake Athletics, Drake University Head Start, Des Moines Branch of the NAACP will all have tables with more information.

Halloween Hoops is an event sponsored by the Drake Law School Student Bar Association and Des Moines Branch of the NAACP with support from Drake's Law School Public Service Scholars, Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning, Delta Theta Phi, and the Public Interest Law Association. 


When: Thursday Oct. 29th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Where: Bell Center at Drake University (1421-27th Street)

Required Release Forms

Parents/Guardians should download, print and sign the Halloween Hoops Parent Release Form. If you are an organization coordinating a group of students to attend, please use the Halloween Hoops Release form for Organizations

*All participating children must have a parent/guardian release form signed. If particiating with an organization please submit the release form to your organization contact, otherwise bring the signed release form with you the night of the event.
