SJMC advertising major Sam Fathallah is a finalist for the Des Moines Young Professional Creative of the Year award. Sam is founder/owner of Sam Fathallah Creative, a film and photography agency, and he's also served as Drake Magazine art director. The winner, as determined by public votes (vote here!) and a panel of judges, will be announced at an awards ceremony on Feb. 15.
Drake public relations alum Reed Fischer, a May 2017 grad, was featured in a story by the Des Moines Register. Reed, who broke Drake records as a distance runner for the Bulldog track and cross country teams, now does PR and marketing for Colorado Mountain Club in Boulder and runs with the Tinman racing team.
Cowles Library archives is looking for two students to serve as oral history transcribers for the spring semester. The position pays $8.25/hour for four to six hours a week, and requires good listening and English-language skills and attention to detail.
