2010

Nominations are invited for the 2010 Drake University School of Education Outstanding Alumni Awards. Awards will be presented at the Eighteenth Annual School of Education Alumni Dinner on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Who may be nominated?

Nominees may be alumni who are teachers, administrators, counselors, public servants, and/or friends of the School of Education. They should be persons who have displayed extraordinary service to their students, clients, the SOE, and/or have been outstanding educational advocates. They should exhibit personal and professional integrity.

Who may submit nominations?

Nominations may be submitted by faculty, alumni, educators, and other friends of the School of Education. The person making the nomination does not need to be an alumnus of Drake.

What should be included with the nomination?

Nominations must be received in writing or via e-mail by November 20, 2009 and should include:

• A letter of nomination explaining why the nominee deserves this honor
• If possible, biographical information (a vita, resume, or a less formal statement)
• Please indicate the award category: teacher, administrator, counselor, or other (please explain).
• The name, address and phone number for the person/group making the nomination
