This section describes the internal process for routing your proposal before you mail it to the sponsor.
Some sponsors, such as NSF and the American Heart Association, require you to submit your proposal electronically. In this case, you are responsible for ensuring that the proposal is routed through the standard approval process before you submit it to the sponsor. You will need to complete a Proposal Routing Form and print a hard copy of the entire proposal package for routing and obtaining the approval signatures required by Drake University. SPA staff can assist you in electronic submissions.
Once you have picked up the signed original, you are responsible for making all necessary copies and mailing the proposal to the sponsor in time to meet the sponsor's deadline. It is important to review sponsor guidelines carefully to ensure that you allow adequate time for copying and delivering the final proposal package.
