Residence Hall Information

Temporary housing in a residence hall may be made available to you during this time (as space allows) for a fee of $55 a day for room and board starting at 10am January 23, 2020 and ending at 1 pm on January 25, 2020.

For individuals who request and are granted this temporary housing, this fee would be assessed directly to your student account.

If interested in this housing option, please email housing@drake.edu by December 9, 2019 and it is important to place in the subject line “Spring Orientation Student early arrival housing request.” Within the text of your email, please provide your name and your Drake ID number along with your request for temporary housing for Spring Orientation early arrival housing.

Once your request has been confirmed, you will receive an email with your housing assignment and check in information. Individuals will need to have a photo ID for check in.

Individuals who are housed in temporary housing during Spring Orientation, would need to remove their personal belongings and return the room key of the temporary room no later than 1pm on January 25, 2020 and relocate to their academic year housing placement. Individuals who do not check out and return the room key by the designated time may incur additional fees, which may include but are not limited to an improper check out fee of $25 and a $50 lock change fee being assessed to their student account.
