Drake at the 2017 Iowa State Fair

The 2017 Iowa State Fair is fast approaching and the Office of Community Relations is calling on all alumni, students, faculty, staff, and partners to help represent Drake University at the Iowa State Fair, August 10th-20th.  The fair is the best opportunity for Drake to connect with Des Moines and beyond. If you have volunteered in the past, we thank you for your support.

Community Contact Form

As a part of Drake's culture of building relationships with the community, we are asking volunteers to engage the visitors of the Drake booth as friends and valued supporters of everything we do. In exchange for your support, volunteers receive free admission and a parking pass so you can enjoy the fair before or after your shift.

Shifts are distributed in four-hour blocks all 11 days in the Varied Industries (VI) building.  This year, volunteer orientations will be provided via a power point.  If this is your first time in the VI booth as a Drake employee, student, or alum, the experienced volunteers will be available to provide guidance.
