DIPLOMAS AND TRANSCRIPTS
- Diplomas are mailed 6 to 8 weeks after a student's work is completed. This time depends on the length of time each college needs to review the graduate’s program. If you have not received your diploma in a timely fashion, begin by contacting your college office to determine whether your degree has been released. Students receive an empty diploma case as they cross the stage, which they will keep as they await the actual diploma. Diplomas will not be mailed to any students with outstanding University obligations or to any student who has not completed the loan exit interview (see below). Please make these arrangements early.
- NOTE: According to a faculty senate rule passed in spring 2005, you will not be able to graduate if you have earned an Incomplete grade (I) in any course taken in spring 2005 or any semester after that.
-
The diploma is mailed to the address as you indicated on your graduation application. This address will be printed on your name card at the commencement ceremony, so you will have a chance to verify that it is correct. If this address changes, please email the new address to bjwhite@drake.edu. Changing your mailing address online does not change the diploma address
- Transcripts are the graduates’ official Drake records. These records are updated as soon as the student’s college reviews and releases the degree. These may be ordered for $5 by using the request form at http://www.drake.edu/shared/shared-accounts/TranscriptRequestForm080206.pdf. Allow 7 to 10 working days to receive your transcript. Fax and overnight delivery are available for an additional charge. Transcripts will not be mailed to any students with outstanding University obligations or to any student who has not completed the loan exit interview (link on left navigation bar). Please make these arrangements early.
