Academic Regalia Rental

The Provost's Office will cover the cost of cap and gown rental for commencements for all full time assistant and associate professors. The University Bookstore is given a list of all full-time teaching faculty members and librarians at the beginning of each Spring semester. To rent your academic regalia, please call Judy at 274-3401 or send an e-mail to jelings@nebook.com.

If a part time (adjunct) faculty member wishes to participate in commencement and have their academic regalia rented by the Office of the Provost, that faculty member should first contact the Office of the Provost, 271-4985 to verify their eligibility. Dead line for rentals is Jan 30, 2008.

Rental Prices For 2008

Master Degree (Rental) Cap, Gown, Hood & Tassel          $46.00

Doctorate Degree (Rental) Tam. Gown, Hood & Tassel     $62.50

Payment is due at the time of rental.

Ceremony Notes for Faculty

Your attendance and ceremonial participation is important to the Commencement events. When asked by your Dean concerning your attendance, please R.S.V.P. to your college/school as requested. This will ensure you a seat in the Faculty seating area.

Please assemble in the Bell Center gyms 45 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony (9:15 a.m. for the Undergraduate Ceremony and 1:15 p.m. for the Graduate Ceremony).

The Faculty Marshals will direct the lineup for the processional.
