Master of Science in Education in Teacher Effectiveness and Professional Development

The Master of Science in Education in Teacher Effectiveness and Professional Development (TEPD) will help you discover new methods of teaching and become a leader among teachers.

TEPD emphasizes methods and pedagogy. It is designed for current teachers who wish to remain in the classroom, learn new techniques to enhance their effectiveness as educators, and rise to the level of master teacher. In addition to core courses, the program allows teachers to gain additional expertise through an area of specialization or by completing the courses required for an endorsement.

The 32 graduate credit hour program, which begins each fall, was designed with the needs of working teachers in mind. Courses are research and discussion based, and students learn from each other as well as from the faculty. The core classes are held on the weekends, so you can immediately implement the techniques you learn into the classroom on Monday.

Applications are reviewed on an on-going basis; therefore, it is requested that all materials be submitted approximately 8 weeks prior to the beginning of the intended start-term.
Upon the receipt of transcripts, an advisor will complete a transcript evaluation in order to determine any credit or course substitutions/transfers.
Students entering the TEPD program should have a teaching license and/or have experience with classroom learning.
