Erin Horst is a native of Vinton, IA. She holds an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Minnesota State University, Mankato, a B.M. in Vocal Performance, and a B.A. in Media Studies from Loras College. Before coming to Drake, Erin taught acting and dance courses at MSU Mankato as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, and directed, choreographed and acted in shows all over the midwest. MSU Mankato Credits: Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins, Sara Jane Moore in Assassins, Mother in A Christmas Story: The Musical, Georgie Bukatinsky in The Full Monty, Mdm de la Grande Bouche in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Alice Beane in Titanic: The Musical. Iowa Stage Theatre Company: Marta in Company. Lemming Theatrical Company: Debra in The Smell of the Kill. 

Horst’s onstage achievements have been recognized with two Kennedy Center Irene Ryan Acting nominations for her roles in Mary Poppins and A Christmas Story: The Musical. She was invited to perform at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Washington DC in 2015. Director/Choreographer Credits: Carrie: The Musical, Urinetown: The Musical, 45 Seconds From Broadway, The World Goes RoundCatch Me If You Can, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Shrek: The Musical. Other onstage credits include: Cathy in The Last Five Years, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Jo March in Little Women.
