Email Marketing

University Communications provides a centralized email marketing service through the external vendor MyEmma (www.myemma.com) to ensure deliverability of bulk email messages to external constituents.

Utilizing an external vendor for bulk email has several advantages:

High deliverability of messages
There are specific requirements that must be followed for templates, content, and mailing lists to avoid being "black listed" as spam. The external vendor understands these federal requirements and works with large email providers to keep our messages "white listed."

Mailing Analytics
The system automatically keeps statistics on email campaigns, including open rate, click through, and various system profile information to help users make informed decisions that lead to more successful email campaigns.

Group pricing and centralized templates
University Communications maintains the base templates and designs. Additionally, the UC team provides user account management, technical support, training, and billing.

There is a base price for setting up an initial account with MyEmma, but there are no additional ongoing costs. If you would like to learn more about this service, please contact the Digital Communications Director.
