Resolution Solution

Resolution Solution is motivating Drake employees to fulfill their New Year’s Resolutions to get moving and lose weight! This 12-week competition is designed to encourage participants to develop (or maintain) healthy activity and eating habits with the ultimate goal of losing weight. Drake employees form teams of 5 and got moving to earn points. The team with the most points at the end of competition will win the Grand Prize "pot" of money!

How to Earn Points :

  1. Complete Challenges
    Each participant is given a sheet of activity and nutrition challenges at each weigh-in. The teams with the highest percentage of challenges completed will earn points.
  2. Weight Loss
    The teams with the highest percentage of total weight loss at each weigh-in period will earn points.

  3. Body Composition
    Participants have the option of testing their body fat at the beginning and at the end of the competition. If there is a decrease in the percent of body fat points will be awarded or be awarded for those that maintain an ideal percentage.
  4. Attend Bonus Point Events
    A team will be awarded one point per member who attends a bonus point event (teams of 6
    can only receive a max of 5 points per bonus point event).

  • January 14-18: Sign-up and weigh-in
  • January 17: Goal Setting Workshop* - Paul Morrison Room, Bell Center 10 a.m. & 2 p.m.
  • January 24: Packing a Healthy Lunch* (RSVP for lunch) - Olmsted (Room TBA) 12:15-1:00 p.m.
  • January 30: Body Fat Testing* - Wellness Center 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • January 31: Pack the Track* - Knapp Center Track 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • January 31: Body Fat Testing - Knapp Center (@ Pack the Track) 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • February (anytime during the month): Blood Pressure Screening* - by appointment
  • February 8: Ball Basics* - Multi Purpose Room 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
  • February 11-15: Weigh-in #2 (Challenge sheets need to be turned in by Feb. 15 to count.)
  • February 14: Laughter... It's the Best Medicine* (RSVP for lunch) Olmsted (Room TBA) 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
  • February 22: Pack the Track* - Knapp Center Track 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • March TBA: Eating Healthy on a Budget* (RSVP for a lunch) Olmsted (Room TBA) 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
  • March 10-14: Weigh-in #3 (Challenge sheets need to be turned in by March 14 to count.)
  • March 11: Pack the Track* - Knapp Center Track 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • March 17-21: Recipe Week* - Submit a healthy recipe via email.
  • April 1: Goal Evaluation Workshop* Paul Morrison Room, Bell Center 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
  • April 1: Body Fat Testing* - Before or After goal evaluation workshop (see line above)
  • April 7-11: Final Weigh in (Challenge sheets need to be turned in by April 11 to count.)
  • April 7-11: Body Fat Testing* - Wellness Center during your final weigh in.
  • Awards Ceremony TBA - RSVP will be required for a free lunch.
